Lolong is the world’s biggest/largest crocodile in captivity as declared by Guiness Book of World Records- measuring 20 feet and 3 inches (6.17m) from snout to tail. Lolong is a saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus) also known as Indo-Pacific specie. November 2011, Lolong was confirmed as the largest crocodile ever caught and placed in captivity after Dr. Adam Britton of National Geographic measured him  in his corral.

Here’s the continuation of my Zamboanga del Norte Escapo...

After more or less two hours of touring and doing PhotoWalk in Rizal Shrine, we then proceed to our main destination for the day- the Dakak Beach Resort.

The beach resort is less than 30 minutes travel from the Rizal Shrine. We paid the 500 pesos (per person) entrance fee -day tour fee ba tawag dun?   Good to know that the payment includes complementary “one meal of your choice” in Il Patio - an Italian Restaurant. Since it’s around 1:00 pm (that time), we decided to avail the complementary meal before exploring and enjoying  the infamous beach resort.

Travel Diaries| Jose Rizal and His Shrine in Dapitan

Hindi pa pala kami pagod kahit 8:00 am na nagising at halos 9:00 na nag breakfast! So we decided to leave Dapitan City at 4:00pm na lang instead of 9:00 am.

After breakfast  in Harohoy sa Baybayon, we agreed to visit Rizal's Shrine in Talisay then proceed to the infamous Dakak  Beach Resort! Kapag nababanggit ang Dakak, naaalala ko bigla ang Eat Bulaga jejeje. Of course you can’t go straight to Rizal Shrine and Dakak kapag hindi ka dumaan sa historically-significant Rizal's Landing Site in Dapitan Boulevard. Picture-taking! Sakin tawag ko Photowalk basta piktyuran, yun na yun! Jejeje.

Morion's PhotoTravel Diaries| Waves of General Luna: The Surfing Capital of the Philippines

This PhotoTravel Diary features photographs taken during my first visit to the most famous town of Siargao Island. 

General Luna is the municipality next to Dapa (going east). From Dapa Port travel may take 30-45 minutes (Habal-habal ride). Accommodations, from cheap to first class, are available and easy to find- don't hesitate to ask the locals.

Morion's PhotoTravel Diaries| Eskapo to Socorro, Surigao del Norte

"the weather is good, the sea breeze invites me to explore this interesting island town"

Socorro is one of the municipalities of Surigao del Norte province and neighboring island of Siargao. It covers the whole island of Bucas Grande and surrounding islets. Three to four hours passenger boat travel from Surigao City Boulevard and less than an hour if from Dapa Port of Siargao Island. The Island town is known for its Sohoton's "swim with majestic groups of sting-less jellyfish", caves, white sand  beaches, vast mangrove forests and amazing rocks formations. 

Going to the Island, we decided to hire a motorized banka at Dapa Port that will take us to the Island - "dahil ang next scheduled trip ng passenger boat bound to Socorro ay 4:00 pm pa so baka gabihin kami pa-balik ng Siargao kung alas-kwatro pa aalis".

We expected smooth sea travel since the weather is good. Unluckily, 30 minutes before arrival at Port of Socorro, strong huge waves struck us! Thanks God, after all the shouts of my lady colleague (asking for God's help :)), we reached the Port area. We arrived at around 2:00 pm- and no time to waste, hired a tricycle to roam around the town.

Morion's PhotoGallery 101| Amazing Pineapple of Del Carmen, Siargao Islands

Is Pineapple plant with multi-headed fruit common or this was just my first time to see this kind? These Photographs were taken in Bo. Quezon, Del Carmen- Siargao Islands on June 14, 2012. I've posted one in my facebook wall and got comments usually  like this  "Hawaian ba yan?". Even the owner doesn't know the variety and she denied propagating "crossbreed". "Common or local variety man dong ang gitanum nako", she said in local dialect and doesn't know why her two pineapple plants come-up with multi-headed fruits.
