GUEST POST| Last Minute Half Term Holidays: Top 5 Watersports Destinations

The first day back at school has been and gone and the half term holidays are upon us. Why stay at home, dealing with the capricious English weather, when you could book a last minute holiday to a sun-filled overseas destination? Keep the whole family entertained with active holidays all over Europe and beyond, whether it is a retreat to the mountains or a sun-soaked beach that takes your fancy.
The English favorite for a holiday on the beach, the Spanish Costas, aren't the only place to escape to if a holiday by the water is your preference. Explore Europe and opt, instead, for a land you haven’t had the chance to visit yet. So many destinations offer watersports holidays that can encompass many water-based adventures for you and your children to try, to ensure that their half term is a memorable one.

1. Dinghy Sail in Lemnos
Whether you’re a complete beginner, or advanced dinghy sailor, the Greek island of Lemnos in the Aegean Sea is a perfect place to take to the seas, with superb autumnal climes to match.
2. Dive in Sivota
The sheltered waters of this Greek haven make for excellent diving conditions, whether you want to snorkel at your leisure or enroll on a Scuba course.
3. Wakeboard in Adakoy
The turquoise waters surrounding Adakoy in Turkey are a perfect choice for your October break. Enjoy the thrills of wakeboarding in the Mediterranean coves.
4. Water-ski in Foca
Head to the Foca bay in the morning and you will be met with ideal conditions for a bout of watersking,  before relaxing on the pristine Turkish beaches with a refreshing ice cold drink.
5. Kayak on Lake Como
If a freshwater paradise is more your thing, the beautiful Italian Lake Como offers a whole host of lake-based activities, including kayaking with some of the most beautifully scenic panoramas as a backdrop. Whatever watersports holiday floats your boat, be sure to take advantage of some amazing last minute deals this half term.
