#BFT2014 | Where to Eat in Baguio : Sage

One of Baguio’s newest restaurants, Sage Café features a surprising combination of great food choices and a wonderful ambiance for diners to feel good throughout their meal.

Sage

Set along #95 Military Cut-off Road in Baguio City, Sage (pronounced as saj) is a bit far from the heart of the city yet a great dining venue, with lots of public transportation readily available; thus, it is not surprising that the restaurant is quickly gaining regular diners and an excellent reputation to tourists and locals alike.

Sage hosted our lunch on the Day 2 of Baguio Food Tour2014, the restaurant  in the City of Pines that serves the best “mango tapioca”, strawberry cheesecake, and  nachos.

When dining at this fabulous restaurant, you should start the meal with their mouthwatering nacho platter supreme which features four different dips to ignite your palate: classic salsa, cheese, Asian, and teriyaki. You might also want to try their Onion Rings Tower.

The food choices are great but most diners hang out at Sage Café just to indulge their palate in the Creamy Bulalo Steak, the house specialty.

Even if the Creamy Bulalo Steak is the crowd favorite, the restaurant does offer other gourmet delights for you to choose from. Their Chicken Chimi Changas and Shrimp-Pomelo Salad are also great choices although I’d personally love to munch on the delicious Barbecued Spareribs. There’s also Fish and Chips if you want an English meal. Their wide range of mouthwatering foods will delight every food lover.

They even offer All-day Breakfasts for those who just can’t get enough of bacon, ham, bangus, and other breakfast favorites. A wide array of healthy salads is also available for health-conscious diners.

It is difficult to decide whether the restaurant can be considered a steakhouse or cakehouse or Asian fusion cuisine restaurant. Maybe it is best to say that the restaurant features a wide range of local and international cuisines to delight every diner’s palate.

Pasta dishes and sandwiches are also offered for snacks or even as a full meal. At the end of each meal, treat yourself to the decadent cakes and pastries. The strawberry cheesecake is a must try.
