Morion's Travel: Don't tell your momma that I am going to Mindanao

I left Toledo City (Cebu) at 7:30 am. Rode in our service car with mixed emotions- will surely miss the people I worked with for more than six months. I am leaving the place I felt estranged the first time  I was here. The place I called my work place and traveling ground for more than 3 years.Working, traveling, roaming, wandering... i lived here! Cebu is not just a beautiful, cultural or heritage place for Morion,  every corner of this wonderful province  is Morion's discovering ground.
"Makasabot at makasulti na ako karon ng Bisaya, dili na maibaligya!" I am not laughing anymore whenever I heard a man/woman  pronouncing I as E like "ATI BELE NA KAYO ng GOLAY". I am not laughing anymore whenever I heard "biglang lambot" o "biglang tigas" words- sabi nga ng mga kapitbahay ko sa Alabang "puntong Bisaya kana ah!"

I am just leaving Cebu as my workplace but surely I will keep on coming back  to this beautiful province once  I called my home-sana may Piso fare lagi jejeje...
"Again, I would like to thank staffs of Cebu 7 Area for being my family, co-workers,and travel mates during my 6 months (short) stay in the western side of Cebu. I always say "working in an NGO is not just work,it is a commitment and service, it is a sacrifice- for being away to your family at once a month or once in two months ka lng makakauwi. We're different people from different "tribe" and places of the country (mostly assigned away from home) working and serving the countryside and rural communities as a FAMILY."
Cebu to Mindanao
I arrived at Cebu International Airport around 8:45AM more than 1 hour ahead of the flight schedule. maaga na talaga ako- lessons learned ng ma-late minsan at makapagbayad ng 3thousand sa rebooking jejeje.
Long line at the Departure area. "andyan kase si Iyaz at  Charice, nagconcert sa Waterfront Hotel kagabi" the guard said. I immediately got my camera and ask Iyaz for a souvenir photo, hindi ko na nakunan si Charice- nagmamadali jejeje. Excited pa naman ako dahil "in" (ba?) ang buhok nya. In fairness, kahawig nya nga c Maverick jejeje(PEACE).

International Singer Iyaz at Cebu International Airport
I checked-in at Cebu Pacific counter and was not shocked by 2948pesos excess baggage fee plus penalties(daw)- mabigat naman talaga  mga bags ko. "Ipa-cargo nyo na lang sir para makatipid kayo," Cebu Pacific Cashier advised. I've got interested since she said that I can save more than 30 percent kung ipapa cargo ko. I computed the fare going to the cargo area plus considered the time I am going to spend- haizt baka malate pa ako at konti lang  pala diperensya.

Delayed Flight. Finally got boarded at around 11:00AM. I am comfortably seated at 2D seat. Everyone's attention was focused on the conversation(argument?) between the airline staff and the passenger. "bakit nyo ako pababain?dapat kanina pa lang during check-in nalaman ko na hindi pla confirmed ang flight ko!...." she said. Dunno the details and what happened- pero may point talaga yung pasahero jejeje. The problem was solved peacefully ( may SWAT na tlaga na pumasok)
after more than 20minutes of conversation. The aircraft's aircon was turned-on and we departed in Cebu International Airport bound to Surigao City around 12:00 noon.

  5. Aww..it's really sad to leave a place that you used to call your home (even if it's just a temporary stay). Nonetheless, congrats on your journey, and for being able to experience Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. =)

  6. I envy you for that kind of job that you are able to tour the country by simply doing your work..

Anyway, it's been more than a decade since I set foot in Mindanao.

And yeah, may point yung passenger. Good thing binasa mo mabuti yung instruction sa cargo.

  12. Awww leaving is such sweet sorrow. Felt the same when I left Shanghai after 2 years. It was like leaving a friend. Yeah, the city had become my friend. Emo much.

Bad trip lang incident at CebuPac. Must be super hot inside, and you had no choice but to grin and bear it, kasi you can't open the window naman, haha.

  22. Haha! Yeah, edgy na hair ni Charice. When I saw her perform with such hair, akala ko si Yeng Constantino. LOL.

  25. Best lesson to learnt for traveller is every time you travel anywhere in this world you have to tell your mama or family and friends so they will aware of where you are going. Kasi if not? You don't know what will happen to you whilst your travelling at least they don't have to worries. I climb Mt. Apo when I was 16 and I always ask my parents permission all the time. But that time I lied to my parents then they found out I climb up to the mountain. Kasaba akong gi-abot uy.

HAHAHAHA Hilarious!
